List blog URLs, plaintext with the http removed (to prevent helping spammers):

How are you guys planning on finding splogs now that the Next Blog ring is so clean? FightSplog has a really big list of splogs and I have about 30 listed on my blog. (Joe Chongq)

Here is my contribution to flag day. Below is list of 350 splogs I've accumulated over the past two weeks. This is just part of my 1500+ splogs on my list and I've chosen these 350 specifically because these splogs have AdSense ad directly on them. I see that lot of them have these blank squares which means their AdSense account was suspended. Let see if we can go after the rest. (Splog Fighter)

Next Blog is far from clean: my (somewhat late) contribution found 33 spam blogs in 100 Next Blog clicks, almost all of them enormously similar green blogs full of scraped articles and dead AdSense blogs. (Oh, and I flagged Splog Fighter's "today" list, apart from two I wasn't sure qualified as spam; cutting and pasting all 350 URLs was a little much for me.) (James Kew)

James, you must have been lucky. I only found 2 clear splogs and possibly 2 more out of 80. Splog Fighter's list was a big job. To make it easier I copied them to a text editor and inserted http:// in front of each. Then stuck them on my own (private) wiki to make the links and used the Firefox extension Linky to quickly load them all (99 at a time) into tabs.

What were the valid blogs that were removed from the list? I did notice a couple I wasn't sure about so did not flag, but didn't keep track of them. Let me know so I can unflag them.

What makes book66.blogspot.com a splog? It appears to be stolen (reposted) content, but I don't see the usual links to the spammer's main page or Ads, just the news source (from what little looking I did). Even though they are junk blogs I normally wouldn't flag that kind.

I also must say the features of this wiki are very limited. As far as I can tell it lacks one major feature of a wiki, revision history. If there was I would be able to tell which blogs were removed from the list. It is also missing a preview feature to see how your edits are going to look.

One feature that we find very useful in discussing spam is placing spam URLs inside pre tags. That prevents the wiki from making them links but leaves the http:// which would shorten the steps I described above when using Linky. If you want to move the URLs list over to our wiki you can use this page. No password is needed on our wiki. (Joe Chongq)
